I haven’t read the book, which probably explains why I hated this so much. Throwing stylised imagery, slow-mo bloody violence and sex at a viewer will only get you so far before you actually need to introduce some sort of point or plot to a show. I’ve read elsewhere that ‘You’re not supposed to know what’s going on’, in the same way that our lead character has no idea what’s going on, so I’ll give this one more episode in the hope that something eventually grabs my interest!
