For an event movie as big as Endgame, we thought we’d put together a combined review. It’s really more a collection of our feelings and reactions to the movie, and as such you won’t find any spoilers from us here. If you’ve seen it, we’d love to hear what you thought about it in the comments below.

Avengers: Endgame – Debs Endgame

It’s hard not to get swept along with the hype for any new Marvel film but Endgame has been on another level. You would have to be living under a rock in “New Asgard” not to know this is going to be epic.

Yes the film is amazing and jam packed with so many great moments. The story is not overly complicated and has the usual mix of humour, heartbreak and of course some truly awesome action sequences.

Thor, Captain America and Iron Man get most of the glory meaning a lot less of Captain Marvel than I expected (maybe I was even a little disappointed) but this is certainly not a criticism and most definitely been done on purpose, the newbies will get their chance to shine and I can’t wait to see it.

I didn’t want to give it 5 palms but i just can’t help myself and agree with almost everyone else. I’m pretty sure I’ve just watched one of the greatest films of all time.

Avengers: Endgame – Parms Take, by Mark

So here we are after 22 movies over 11 years and it has all been leading up to this moment And honestly I have never known any other movie to feel this big or epic and that includes Star Wars or Harry Potter!

Ever since the M.C.U (Marvel Cinematic universe) kicked off with Iron Man in 2008, they have carefully formed a story which has brought all our favourite comic book heroes to life on the big screen & I’ve been completely hooked as not only have they chosen the right people to play the parts, but they have had strong stories, never really falling into silly & just the right mix of humor & seriousness.

So what we have here is the end of what they are calling The Infinity Saga & I have never been so excited for a movie to come out & let me tell you people the hype is real! The 3 hour run time never dragged to me & if anything I’d say it actually felt like a film made up of three sections with the first hour dealing with the fallout from Infinity War & all the grief & loss that goes with it.

All I’m gonna say is this is a total rollercoaster of emotional experience this film & it has so many big moments that it was really hard to take it all in & process what we had just witnessed & the overall sense when we came out of the cinema that we had seen something truly epic & we wouldn’t be surprised if this goes on to become the biggest box office hit of all time.

I really don’t know what else to tell you without giving any spoilers or too much story away but don’t worry folks when the dust settles a bit we will have a full on review packed full of detail in all it’s glory.

But for me it’s a totally deserved 5 & I’d give it 10 if I could!

Avengers: Endgame – some thoughts from Lee

After the intensity and shock of Infinity War, I was certainly expecting some kind of epic payback in Endgame, and a plan to try and correct or alter the devastating effects of Thanos and ‘the snap’. But, I had no idea how exactly that would all play out and wrap things up for us. Marvel have perfected the art of producing trailers for their movies which either give very little away, or hint at something which then doesn’t even play out the way you expected during the movie. Not only did the trailers for Endgame follow that trend, there were elements of the trailers that weren’t even in the movie! The result is something which gave me everything I hoped for, and a whole lot more.

Endgame also manages to include pretty much every single MCU character to date, including characters who you would never even imagine seeing in this movie. And it expertly, and effortlessly, juggles every single one of them too – weaving multiple plot threads and themes, paying homage to and referencing much of its back catalogue of movies. It rewards the audience that has been invested in these movies all the way, and it does this all perfectly. These are characters that we’ve followed and loved for over 10 years, experiencing their highs and their lows right there alongside them. We’ve laughed with them, felt their pain and their suffering, felt empowered and inspired by them. Endgame is the closing chapter to what has been one hell of an incredible journey and was always going to provide us with heightened levels of all of those emotions. Once again, I certainly wasn’t expecting it to do that quite as perfectly as it did, and in as many different ways as it did either. For me, it was the perfect conclusion to an incredible saga, and I was completely blown away by it. I loved it 3000…
