Loved it. Takes a while to get going but once we’re in the time loop, it’s great fun. Eva Green is beautiful and marvellous as always. Samuel L Jackson is once again a brilliant and funny villain.
The final act, with a small army of skeletons fighting a bunch of monsters on the fairground on Blackpool pier is absolutely bonkers, but huge fun.
My 11 year old daughter loved it, but was a bit confused by some of the time loop stuff at the end (so was I a bit, but don’t tell her!). However, there’s plenty here to give younger children some pretty serious nightmares (Samuel L Jackson and friends feeding on the eyeballs of murdered children!). But for everyone else, this is a real joy.
